Hey everyone! Yeah I know long time since I last posted. But here's something you might find interesting...
I watched this episode of the renowned epic, Mahabharat on Star Plus on 9/4/14 which displayed Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas, being made a slave of Duryodhana, the eldest brother of the Kauravas. Duryodhana took the advantage of the same and made his brother try to uncloth her. However, with the blessing of Lord Krishna she was saved.
This not only displays the wrong deeds done with Queen Draupadi in that era, however, it shows that man has always taken a women's advantage of being physically weaker than him.
However, this episode also show that there ARE men, a few at least who are good, who cannot bear to wrong the women- either from fear or respect. Bhishma, the son of Ganga warned Duryodhana to not harm Draupadi- he did all in his power. At last, with no other choice left, he cursed Duryodhana for his evil mind, a mind which was full of scorpions.
If we compare the man of that aeon to today's, we might not see much difference in him. Man has always said to have thought of a woman like her sister or a goddess, if he does so, why has he tormented her through all these centuries? Is this the way to treat a woman?
Comment your thoughts on women below.!
P.S.- Star Plus shows the serial Mahabharat with perfection. It comes from 8:30-9:00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday). Even if you have no interest in this epic, the beauty by which the channel displays will totally encourage you to watch it everyday.
